Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains how Tache Studio uses personal information when you visit this website, send us an enquiry or work with us. Our shop at tache.co.uk has its own privacy policy.
Who we are
Tache Studio is part of Tache Crafts Limited (“Tache”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 09526857. Our registered office is 1a Kingsburys Lane, Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 1EL.
Tache Crafts Limited is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. For any question or request about your information, email sales@tache.co.uk or write to us at our registered office.
What we collect
- When you send an enquiry. The form asks for your name, email address, company and details of your project. We receive whatever you choose to write, so please don’t include sensitive personal information.
- When you email or speak to us. Your contact details and what you tell us, including the details of any colleagues you copy in.
- If we work together. Business contact details for the people we deal with, and the project records that go with the work, such as briefs, approvals, quotes, orders and invoices.
- When you visit the website. The servers that host this website automatically record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, so the site can be delivered and kept secure.
How we use it, and why
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project, and to prepare a proposal or quote if you ask for one. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to business enquiries, or because it is a step you have asked us to take before entering into a contract.
- To deliver the work if you become a client, including creative development, manufacturing and supply. This is necessary for our contract with you or your company.
- To keep business, accounting and tax records. The law requires this.
- To keep the website working and secure. This is in our legitimate interests.
Sending an enquiry does not add you to a mailing list. If we would like to send you news about our work, we will ask you first, and you can change your mind at any time. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where we need to:
- with the service providers who host this website, handle the enquiry form and provide our email and IT systems, who may use it only to provide their services to us;
- with production, sampling and delivery partners where a project needs it, for example a contact name and delivery address;
- with our professional advisers, such as our accountants and lawyers;
- with authorities or others where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect our rights;
- with a buyer or successor if our business, or part of it, is reorganised or sold.
Fonts, cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, tracking pixels or similar tools.
- Fonts. Our headline font is provided by Adobe Fonts. To deliver it, Adobe receives your IP address and the address of the page you are viewing, and records which fonts were served for billing and compliance. Adobe says it does not store the IP address and does not set or use cookies to serve its fonts. Read more in Adobe’s privacy information for Adobe Fonts.
- Light and dark mode. If you use the switch, your browser remembers your choice on your own device. It is not sent to us.
- Links to other websites. Some pages link to other websites, such as press articles and social media. Those websites have their own privacy policies.
If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years after our last contact, then we delete them.
- Client, supplier and project records: while we work together, then for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
- Website server logs: for a limited period, by our hosting provider, for security.
Where it is stored
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure it is protected in the way UK data protection law requires, for example through UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
Keeping it secure
We limit access to personal information to the people who need it, and use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it. No way of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please think carefully before sending anything confidential by email.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
- send your information to you or to another organisation.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, email sales@tache.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website and our services are for businesses and are not aimed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
